If you haven't tried a green smoothie before, you need to make this one!

Sweet & fresh, perfect for hot summer days :)

Smoothies are the perfect breakfasts to make, you can add whatever you like and they'll keep you full until lunch.

I usually have frozen bananas in my smoothies as a base, then add another fruit of my choice for the flavour.

(You want the bananas to be spotty before you freeze them to have a super sweet smoothie.)

The oats will also thicken up the smoothie, you can add more or less depending on the consistency you are looking for.

And if you only add about 3/4 cup of water to your blender, you can make a smoothie bowl instead ;)

Makes about 3 cups of smoothie = 1 large serving

Time: 5 minutes!

1/2 cup frozen mango

1/2 cup frozen spinach (you can also use about 1 cup of fresh spinach or

other dark leafy greens)

1/2 cup oats

1/4 cup whole almonds (swap for any other nuts or 1tbsp of nut butter of your choice, or simply omit)

Instructions:

Throw all the ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth.

Pour into a tall glass (or a bowl*).

That's it!

Notes:

*With 3/4 cup of water you'll get a thicker consistency, perfect if you want to have it as a smoothie bowl. In that case you might want to make this recipe in your food processor.

Use 1+1/2 cups of water if you want a drinkable smoothie.
